Electrification
For any electrically controlled crane system, an electrical current must be transferred from a fixed power source to the moving assemblies, such as the bridge of the crane, end trucks, trolleys , monorail carriers and hoists. By definition, the electrical components needed to accomplish this transfer of power is called "Electrification". There are two types of electrification available to power cranes and monorails, one is the Conductor Bar System, which is made up of a series of insulated bars and collectors. The other system is a Festooning System which is a "Wire" type system. |
