Balancers
Similar to a hoist, balancers can lift and lower a load vertically, however, it is in function that it is different. A balancer "floats" the load in a near weightless condition during the lifting operation. This allows the operator to maneuver and orient the load easily. They are designed to lift, balance, rotate and convey, and are often used for awkward and/or rapid load movements and also to suspend equipment which is used in a repetitive operation. They are typically used with small jibs, light monorails systems and enclosed track monorail systems and can handle loads of 50 lbs to 1400 lbs. |
